Our students follow the English National Curriculum adapted to meet the UAE National Agenda. Our students work at differing levels dependent on which Key Stage (year group) they are attending. A typical school day at the Grammar School will see our students learn in a variety of ways to ensure we have motivated, independent learners who enjoy school life.
In our FS and KS1 sections we ensure learning is fun and utilise teaching free flow and outside areas to develop activities that stimulate student learning. Our Primary section students work closely with their class teachers on a variety of topics and are encouraged to take responsibility for their own research and creativity. Our students will have good foundation skills in literacy by the end of year 4 which will support their learning in upper primary and secondary education.
Our Key Stage 3 secondary students move to and from specialist classrooms and teachers to further develop their learning skills to become independent critical thinkers in preparation for upper secondary and International Board Exam study. In Year 9 students and parents, with support from the school, choose which IGCSE subjects they will be studying for the next two years.
Key Stage 4/5 Board Exam students are supported by specialist subject teaching staff to prepare them for the ‘AS’ & ‘A Level’ international examinations which will prepare them for the world of work and/or university entrance.
